Fun at La Jolla

We made it to La Jolla after a long bus ride and some bad traffic in Southern California. Hanging out at the park waiting for pizza.

Lunch at the Grapevine

We're doing well. Just finished lunch at the bottom of the Grapevine, now having a group meeting and a little team building before hitting the road.

SHPC Mexico Mission 2013

Once again, it is that time of year when the Sleepy Hollow Presbyterian Church - Mexico Mission heads down to Mexico to build homes for those in need.

This year, the group consists of about 42 people, mostly teens from Drake High School with a few other schools mixed in, a couple of college students and 9 adult leaders.

We will be departing on Saturday June 15th, at about 7:00 am. We will travel by bus to San Diego. After spending the night in San Diego at the La Jolla Presbyterian Church, we will travel by rented vans into Mexico.

This year we will be working in the Tijuana area. We will be staying at the Rancho Camp. The Rancho Camp is about halfway between Tijuana and Tecate.

We are looking forward to a rewarding experience for all. Thank you for your support of this mission. Please check back on a regular basis. We will try to update this page on at least a daily basis and hopefully a couple times per day, if technology allows.

You should also be able to see our current location by clicking on the link below.

Thanks,
The Team
